The Soulmates Family is a dynamic Filipino family band based in Derby, UK, blending pop, soul, and OPM (Original Pilipino Music) with heartfelt energy and family harmony. Made up of husband and wife duo Lloyd (guitar) and Jackie (vocals), alongside their talented children Lyris (keyboard) and Liam (drums), the band brings a vibrant and wholesome presence to every stage they grace. What began as a passion for music at home has transformed into a movement that brings people together through culture, joy, and live performance.
Since forming, The Soulmates Family has captured the hearts of audiences across the UK. They were crowned Soundwaves Music Competition regional champions in 2019 at the O2 Academy in Birmingham, and have continued to earn recognition, including runner-up at BBC Radio Derby’s Derbyvision Song Contest and a grant awardee of Arts Council England for their Filipino Concert Tour. Their viral song “Covid Vaccine” received coverage from both BBC and Filipino media networks, and their original music continues to gain traction online and in live performances.
Known in the Filipino community as the “Pambansang Family Band,” they’ve become crowd favourites at Barrio Fiestas, cultural celebrations, NHS events, and even private functions across the UK. Their live shows are a mix of pop classics, modern covers, OPM hits, and original songs like the energetic “Marmalade Shake” and heartfelt ballads like “Diamond in the Night.”
Beyond music, The Soulmates Family actively promotes Filipino culture in Britain, performing at events with BBC Radio Derby, Air Arts Charity, Derby Creative Arts Network, and community organisations. With over 11,000 followers across their social media platforms, they continue to build bridges between generations and cultures — always staying true to their motto:
